October of 2021 I visited my friend’s fabulous home, a Manor House in Brittany, France. The hydrangeas were blooming everywhere ... it was so beautiful I was inspired to share that memory in a painting. Using smooth, gessoed wood as a substrate was kind of like painting on hot press at first but liked the results after keeping with it and working through the challenges. Moral of the story is, try something new today and stick with it ... never know where it may lead!
