Shiny Brite Trees (Print)
After a snowfall in December of 2017 I was eager to get started on a snowy piece. Inspired by a trip to the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh seeing a small impressionist painting by John Leslie Breck - Governed Winter - he used lavenders and pinks for the tree shadows on the snow and I couldn’t wait to try it. I also hung a few of my vintage Shiny Brite ornaments on the tree … poor choice as the old paint was not happy getting wet… dang!
