January 2019 as we drove past our “big cow” herd near Flinton, PA, we noticed a very new baby calf so we stopped for some reference photos of him. Just then, his massive mama looked up with a mouthful of straw. Was immediately inspired to create mama but baby here came next. I used strips of scripture representing the straw from my Grandma’s vintage Bible.
