While watching a nature program on salmon running upstream in Alaska to mate, I became inspired to create a painting from the underwater viewpoint. I love how the colors of the fish reflect off the top of the water. Took me awhile to wrap my head around the fact I was underwater looking up. 6 months previous to this I would not have attempted this complicated painting but I think sometimes we just have to plow through difficulties and trust our inspiration to get us to where we are headed.
